Celebrate Recovery

What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery is a safe group of people whose goal is to help one another heal and grow. Our Christcentered program is for anyone struggling with life’s hurts, stubborn habits, and self-defeating hangups. In other words, it’s not just about addictions and compulsions.

If you desire real change in your life, this is the place for you. We want to be a source of hope for those desiring freedom and restoration. Regardless of the situation, the way out is by depending on God’s power to help you make positive changes in your life.

Anyone is welcome to join us. Whether you are struggling or have found healing, we offer the opportunity for fellowship where love and encouragement combine with God’s purpose to mend our lives.

When and Where?

Celebrate Recovery meets every Wednesday night at 7pm at Fountain of Life Church in Lombard, Illinois. We’d love for you to join us!

The evening overview is:

7:00 – 8:00 PM Large Group Meeting: worship followed by a teaching lesson or personal testimony

8:00 – 9:00 PM Men’s and Women’s Open Share Groups: sharing your personal struggles or victories

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I know if Celebrate Recovery is for me?

A: This program is for all types of habits, hurts and harmful behaviors. Some examples include dependency on alcohol or drugs, pornography and other sexual issues, marital issues, low self-esteem, need to control, depression, anger, co-dependency, depression, fear of rejection or abandonment, perfectionism, broken relationships, and abuse.

Q: Is this a Bible Study? Will I learn the Bible?

A: Celebrate Recovery is a biblical-based program, so yes, you will learn the Bible. However it is more than a Bible study. We believe that God's Word and regular fellowship with other Christians is the way to recovery.

Q: Will we do the 12 Steps?

A: Yes. The 12 Steps and accompanying Scriptures along with the 8 Principles based on the Beatitudes are the heart of Celebrate Recovery. They offer hope, freedom, sobriety, healing, and the opportunity to give back one day at a time. The 12 Steps and 8 Principles work together to link standard recovery with timeless Biblical teaching.
