Transforming Lives Vision at Fountain of Life Church
Out of our relationship with God, we have determined that our purpose together is not to serve ourselves, but each other. The example set by Jesus was to give up everything He had and everything that He was and, instead, serve our needs. His investment transformed our lives.
So we work to serve the needs of each other and to serve those who come into our circle of influence. By giving to others, we expect to impact their lives and provide the perspective, the encouragement or the strength that they need to make their lives work. This is the example that Jesus gave us. We know that the greatest reward that we could receive is to have a part in transforming someone else's life.
The investment may be a minor thing like encouragement or friendship. But the investment may also require time and patience as we help someone who has encountered huge obstacles in their life's path. People with deep needs who need a long time to break free are a part of the work that we have embraced.
God has given His very life to transform people's lives and give them an eternal hope. We are just joining with God in His effort to transform these lives. We don't just make the circle bigger, we make it better as we go.
