Community at Fountain of Life Church

The reason that we have joined ourselves together to share a church identity is because God designed us to be together. In fact, Jesus prayed for this in His final prayer before going to the cross to die. He asked His Father that we would be one, just as they were one. That closeness, that bond of love, that oneness is best described as community.

The way that we experience God, the way that we learn about God and the way that we understand God is through our sharing our lives with each other. We support each other, we encourage each other, we give helpful direction to each other. This experience gives us a place to belong and a place to find significance. It's a life that's shared rather than lived alone.

Community serves as our identity as a group. If that is strong and clear, then we can share what we have. If we do not have this shared life, then we are just a country club with dues and rules. We believe that life with God was meant to be experienced together, joined together in love and giving us a place to invest our lives and give our life meaning.

Community is the essence of who we are. It's our circle. Our vision is to make the circle bigger.
