The Vision of Fountain of Life Church

Any group of people who seeks to survive and prosper has a common purpose for their existence. The common identity that they share takes it's strength from their vision. The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs that "without a vision the people perish". To learn about Fountain of Life Church you will need to understand our common vision.

We see ourselves as a community with shared beliefs and with a shared purpose. We value our relationships with each other and work to build those bonds as often as possible. Our love for each other springs from our love for God and it unites us into a community of Christ followers. But the community experience is only the start.

Because we are committed to each other and share a love for each other, we have set out to build up one another. We work to encourage each other in our journey toward knowing God better and better. We see every member of our community as one whom we can celebrate for who they can be. Recognizing that the path to realizing our future is filled with struggles, we invest in each other to transform lives over time. God has committed to do this for us. We are joining with God to share in His purpose.

In addition, our faith in God moves us to see Him in a sovereign role in our lives. As the one whom we worship as our creator and as the one who has saved us from our futile way of life, we view Jesus Christ as Lord. The journey we have chosen to grow in our knowledge of Him is directed toward an ever increasing experience of the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

The purpose that we believe we have received from our Lord is to take the love we have been given and share that with anyone else who will give God the chance in their lives. We were disconnected from God but were given the opportunity to be loved and transformed. A part of that transformation is to become those who demonstrate His love and who extend the opportunity to others. Therefore, we are working to reach out to anyone else who is interested to know God.

Our Vision Statement, then, is as follows:

Fountain of Life Church is an outreach community joining with God to transform lives under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
