Lampstand Ministries

Lampstand Ministries strives to shine God's light by reaching people in the darkness of their lives. Whether it be a single parent family in an apartment or a homeless drug addict under a viaduct, peace only comes through knowing Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Once we have established contact we do our best to gain trust by meeting their physical and emotional needs. We build friendships by being available in their time of need and striving to consistently show God's love, while all the while giving Biblical truths.

As the Holy Spirit opens their hearts to the truth, we are able to lead them into a personal relationship with Jesus. We continue to be available to share spiritual truth, introduce them to a local church, or get them involved in ministries that will help them with addictions. Lampstand Ministries is committed to seeing lives, families and entire communities restored by the power of God. Those who have committed their lives to Christ continue to grow and share the life-changing light of the Gospel with others.

Currently Lampstand Ministries has eight small groups (home groups) through which people can be led to Christ and taught in basic Christian beliefs. In this way we can address needs through Biblical teaching on family, work and Christian community. As we continue to disciple others, they will then be able to expand the impact of Lampstand Ministries.

Future Plans: Our desire is to expand our small groups as leaders rise up to meet the challenge so that we may further our outreach. We pray that God would produce a church from these home groups. We continue to look for a larger facility to accommodate our current space needs, such as an office and church building.

Sphere of Influence: City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs.

Prayer Needs: Financial provision, health, safety and wisdom. Clothing in good condition, non-perishable food for the food pantry.
