Jo Hillberg, a former member of FOLC, needs our prayer. Her left foot has broken down from serious neuropathy. Her tibia (leg bone) is right on top of what is left of her ankle and could possibly go through her foot; if it is does, she will lose her foot and part of her leg. We need to pray that God hardens the bone in her ankle so the leg won't go through it and that it heals quickly.

"Pursuer" High School Youth Group; Sunday night from 6-8
Last week it was great to get a chance to chill with you guys but this week it's time to get back on track toward changing the world. So come on out as we're going to spend some time doing some stripped down worship and prayer. Then when we're all worshiped and prayed up we can talk about where the YG is going.
"Switch" Middle School Youth Group; Tuesday night from 6:30-8:30
There are times for fun and games and then there are times for "serious" fun and games. This week we'll have a blast (as always); we've got some great events planned. Plus we'll be talking about where SWITCH is going in the months to come. See you there.
Shout Out!
A shout out goes to Mike Knueven for his generous heart in volunteering to fix a small mixing sound board. Thank you Mike!
Missions
"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent?" Romans 10:14, 15a
A Missionary's Heart
By Marilyn Free
Have you ever had a pressing burden on your heart for a particular nation or people group, or felt overwhelmed with compassion when you see great need? And then you wonder, " What am I supposed to do about it? Should I just get up and go, leave school or my job? Or maybe I should just give financially and also make it a point to intercede faithfully for that particular area? How about a short-term mission trip?" If God is truly giving you this burden, it's probably not going to go away and you'll need wisdom to discern the right direction for you.
Some of the people who have a little expertise in these matters would be those of us on the Missions team. One of the purposes of the team is to advise potential missions-goers so they can avoid unnecessary problems, give direction, confirmation, possible financial support and most importantly, prayer support. We would sure like to hear from any of you if you've been sensing God's call to "go out".
This summer, two young ladies from our church will be going on short-term mission trips to different countries in Africa. Debbie Schrader will be going to Malawi with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and Rose Scheid, through Teen Mania, is going to Zambia. We hope you'll talk with them to find out more specifics about what they'll be doing so you can give them your prayer support.
