Pursuing Christ Together

"We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ." - Colossians 1:28

Fountain of Life is an intentional community of Christ-followers. That means we’re strongly committed to growing in faith, wisdom, and maturity. And we believe the best way to do that is through teaching, mentorship, and relationships that challenge our worldview and encourage us to work through our own struggles so we can be a light to our family, friends, community, and the world around us.

We love exploring God’s word to gain new insights and wisdom, but most importantly we want to put that wisdom into practice in our daily lives, in our work, and in our relationships. In everything we do, we desire to know God’s heart and see the world through Jesus’ eyes.

Our four key opportunities for intentional growth are: 1) our Sunday services, where we worship God and proclaim His glory; 2) our Life Groups, where we encourage each other and live through the messy and joyous moments of life together; 3) our Next Steps, where you get to know the church a little better and get connected to opportunities to learn and grow; and 4) our serving opportunities, where we use our gifts and passions to serve in and through the church to build the kingdom of God.

We’re so happy you’re checking out Fountain of Life. If you have any questions, you can contact us at 630-627-7202 or come to "Coffee with the Pastor” on the second Sunday of every month.

our beliefs

Fountain of Life Church is a Christian church. We follow Jesus, we teach from the Bible and we worship God as the creator and ruler of the universe. Through our relationship with Christ, we are healed, renewed, redeemed, forgiven, transformed, and loved. It's our passion to share this faith and hope with the world.

About the Bible

The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant.

2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

About God

We believe in one eternal God manifest as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who is the creator and ruler of the universe. He loves us and desires a personal relationship with us and makes this possible through His Son Jesus Christ.

Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; Psalm 90:2; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 4:9-10

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will return again someday in Power and Glory.

Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; Hebrews 4:14, 15; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Romans 1:3, 4; Eph 1:20; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14, 15; Titus 2:13

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.

2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

About Humanity

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him. Mankind through sinful disobedience toward God became alienated in that relationship. As a result people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.

Genesis 1:26-27; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 5:12-21

About Salvation

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin and gaining a right relationship with God. Therefore God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5

About Gifts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is manifest through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church and confirm the power of the Gospel. They are distributed by the Holy Spirit to believers to enable the church to carry out her mission until the return of Jesus Christ.  All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of biblical parameters.

Hebrews 2:4; I Corinthians 12:1,4-11, 14:1; Romans 12:4-8;  II Timothy 1:5-6; I Peter 4:10

About Heaven & Hell

Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life.
